The symbol (Yin-Yang) represents the ancient Chinese understanding of how things work together within a balanced arena. The dark and light mating kidney shapes that form a circle represent the interaction of two energies, called "yin" (dark in color, traditionally black) and "yang" (light in color, traditionally white), which embodies everything that happens.
