Within the past half decade, trade shows have been merging, growing rapidly and becoming a great venue to meet with current customers and get exposure to new prospects. For metal formers, one of the biggest shows is FABTECH, which typically takes place in early November. This year FABTECH is in Chicago at the McCormick Center. FABTECH a convergence of the FMA, PMA and AWS trade groups. So you have metal fabricating, forming and welding all under one roof. This creates great opportunities to reach new prospects. That said, with all of the exhibitors and guest traffic, being seen becomes more challenging. So just setting up a booth without taking advantage of pre-show and at-show advertising opportunities will decrease your chances of being on you prospects radar.
